On March 20, 2023 billion lithium energy storage and power battery project groundbreaking ceremony was held in Tiexi District, Shenyang. At the event site, the official start of the construction of the lithium storage and power battery project with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, will fill the gap in Shenyang's new energy power battery industry after it is officially put into production in 2026.
According to TTeejoin, the total investment in the project is 10 billion yuan, and it is planned to build a northern regional new energy power battery research and development centre, office buildings and modern production plants in two phases, mainly producing energy storage and power batteries, with a planned capacity of 40GWh.
According to the introduction, the energy storage and power battery has the characteristics of low temperature resistance, high energy density and high reliability, which is in line with the development trend of "intelligence, electrification and light weight" of the new energy power battery industry.

In order to achieve the 2030 target, Germany needs to triple its annual installed PV capacity in the coming years, i.e. install 9 GW in 2023, 13 GW in 2024 and 18 GW in 2025. from 2026 onwards, annual capacity growth must reach 22 GW and stabilise at this level.
BMWK also has plans to attract more citizens to PV rooftop systems so that they can participate in the energy transition, and systems larger than 100kW can apply for a tenant power surcharge.
Last year, BMWK also abolished the EEG renewable energy surcharge to ease the burden on electricity users in the face of rising prices. In the future, BMWK wants owners and tenants of flats or buildings to be able to use photovoltaic electricity in a variety of ways, avoiding a lot of bureaucratic practices.
Other measures include simplifying the use of plug-in solar devices so that residents can use them without notifying the grid operator. bmwk wants to raise the threshold for the use of embedded solar devices from 600 W to 800 W.

Conrad Energy, a UK-based renewable energy developer, has said it has opened a 25MW/50MWh battery storage system deployed in Blackpool, according to foreign media reports.
The battery storage system has been connected to the UK Electricity North West (ENWL) 33kV grid and energised following pre-commissioning and functional testing of its safety critical features.
