Tenders invited for SECI's 800MW renewable energy storage project in India
SECI has started accepting bids for 800 MW of renewable energy storage connection projects, all of which will be connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS).All projects will be developed on a Build-Own-Operate basis.
SECI will sign a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders and SECI will utilize the power generated from these projects for the Haryana Power Purchase Center (HPPC).
Each developer can bid for cumulative contracted capacity ranging from 50MW to 400MW in multiples of 10MW. The cumulative awarded capacity can also be divided into multiple projects, each including various combinations of renewable energy and storage.
Bidders with renewable energy or storage plants already in operation or under construction are also eligible to bid, according to the tender documents. The developer will be responsible for identifying the land, managing the facility, taking up the project, resolving connectivity issues, obtaining necessary approvals and facilitating interconnection with the ISTS network to supply electricity to SECI.
