Adani Green Energy has announced the formation of two new step-down subsidiaries.

Adani Renewable Energy Fifty One, a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy's Adani Saur Urja division, and Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Five, a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine, sister companies of Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine, and Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Five, a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine. The company said, "The primary purpose of the newly formed subsidiary is to generate, develop, convert, distribute, transmit, sell, supply any type of electricity or power using wind, solar or other renewable energy sources."

In a recent stock exchange statement, Adani Green Energy said that its associate company, Mundra Solar Energy, has been granted a commercial operation date certification for a 2 GW solar cell and module plant by the Solar Energy Corp. of India.

Adani Green Energy holds 26% stake in Mundra Solar Energy through its wholly owned subsidiary Adani Renewable Energy Holding Four Ltd.
